Elio Happy Meal

Alert! An alien invasion was spotted at McDonald’s… Giving Disney fans a Happy Meal out of this world! Disney Pixar’s Elio encouraged our Gen A kids to find friends that accept and see you for who you truly are. And discover your differences aren’t that different, even if you’re from another planet!
I designed a visual identity for the Elio Happy Meal campaign that was utilized across retail, packaging, and digital channels. I explored how to blend the Happy Meal and Elio worlds together, building a toolkit with custom typography, iconography, color palette, and compositional guide.

Since this movie was all about discovering new friends, why not let Happy Meal join in on all the fun? I transformed the Happy Meal box into an intergalactic friend – complete with golden antennas for sensing true connections and tentacles for proper (and silly!) space exploration. This alien takeover allowed the Happy Meal to become one of Elio’s new alien friends. And together, they were ready to discover the Communiverse!





Using the framework from the campaign’s visual identity, I designed print and digital materials that advertised the Elio Happy Meal. The alien Happy Meal box plays a major role throughout the retail journey, embedding the Happy Meal brand into this epic intergalactic story.
